Appleberry Care is a Domiciliary Care Agency registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and we specialize in working with children and young adults with disabilities and additional needs.
Our care workers are recruited to a high standard and are qualified and/or experienced in caring for children and young adults (the ‘service users’) with additional needs.
All our staff are individually interviewed and must be able to provide references and have an enhanced police check (CRB check). Those who are required to take the children out in their own car must have a full clean driving licence and have insurance (business insurance) which covers them to take the ‘service users’ out.
The Agency is run by two members of staff – Lisa Vaughan and Cheryl Higgins. Lisa Vaughan owns and manages the agency on a day to day basis and Cheryl is generally responsible for the service user assessments and the training, supervision and development of staff.
All care staff are trained to a high specification. Training programmes include first aid, manual handling, health and safety, fire prevention, child protection, food hygiene and any specialist training required such as (understanding autism).
