Management Team

Appleberry Care Ltd is owned by Lisa and Mark Vaughan.  Mark is a sleeping partner and Lisa oversees the operation on a daily basis. 

Lisa Vaughan

Lisa Vaughan is the Registered Provider and is a qualified Nursery Nurse (NNEB) with experience of working with babies and children of all ages and abilities.  Lisa is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management covering all aspects of staff management, training, recruitment, referencing, business management, administration, policies and procedures.  Lisa and Mark have two girls of their own.

Cheryl Higgins

Cheryl Higgins is the Care Manager. She is a qualified nurse and first aid trainer. Cheryl is very experienced in all aspects of care work and she also trains our staff. Cheryl has two children, a girl and a boy.

Kelle Roffe
Kelle Roffe is a qualified in children's care, learning and development. Kelle has experience in childcare settings, a daughter of her own and a strong administration background due to her positions as a PA, Marketing Assistant & Accounts Co-ordinator in the past.
Kelle is responsible for the selection & placement of permanent & temporary staff for childcare establishments & private homes in the local area.

Qualifications and Experience of Our Staff
Appleberry Care has a complete record of all qualifications, credentials and experience gained by each member of staff.  Staff files and training records are held at the Administrative Offices of Appleberry Care.

References are taken up for each Manager and Care Worker.

Each Manager and staff member will have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure (police check).

We provide our Care Workers with training required for their job which may include: Role and responsibilities, Principles of Care, Needs of the Client, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, First Aid, Safeguarding Children, Safeguarding Adults, Managing Challenging Behaviour. We can provide training for external clients if required.
