Parents' Help

If you are newly qualified or looking to move into a nanny position in the future this is one of the best ways to get that much needed experience. A parent’s' help role is exactly what it says, you will be helping the parents to care for their children, this may be by planning activities with them or taking them places with the parents to be an extra pair of hands or it might be helping to prepare the children’s lunches and taking care of one child whilst the parent is spending some time with another. Parents' help roles are not sole charge positions but there may be times during the day that the parent might pop out or you might take the children out to the park for a few hours for example.

We would advise you have the following to register for our parent’s help jobs:

• Enhanced CRB check (these need to be done regularly, we can help process a new CRB for you if needed, they cost approx £56)
• A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (we run these courses at our office, please contact us for more information or click here)
• Two or three references from previous employers (we will send off for references from your previous employers but you will need to provide us with their contact details)
• A qualification in childcare is preferred or at least one years experience working with children
